Mission Sustained

Incubation and technical assistance have remained central to NCLT's original mission since its 1973 inception. We've completed numerous projects and continue to support CLT organizations' creation, growth, and development.

  • Artist Space Trust

Artist Space Trust (AST) is a joint program of Vital Arts and NCLT. It utilizes a CLT model to secure permanently affordable housing and creative space for Bay Area artists and culture bearers.

  • Vallejo CLT

NCLT, in partnership with Bay Area Regional Health Inequities Initiative (BARHII) and Urban Habitat is providing technical assistance to the Vallejo Housing Justice Coalition (VHJC) to create a new CLT in the City of Vallejo.

  • SHCLA

NCLT partnered with Alameda County Behavioral Health Care Services (ACBHCS) to incubate the Supportive Housing Community Land Alliance (SHCLA), now an independent CLT focused on permanently affordable supportive housing in Alameda County.

  • PAHALI

In 2014, NCLT collaborated with PAHALI to obtain two East Palo Alto single-family CLT sites. NCLT initially owned and supported the projects, later transferring ownership to PAHALI, now independently operated in partnership with EPA CAN DO.

  • CLT Networks

NCLT's technical assistance work included co-creating the National CLT Network (now Grounded Solutions Network) and the California CLT Network, collaboratively crafting governance guidelines for equitable representation and sustainability.
